Liam : So Michael, you're going to take us through a creative relaxation exercise.
Michael : Absolutely right. Sometimes you want to do energy exercises, sometimes it's good to relax - but we're going to relax this time. I take it you're happy to do it.
Liam : Yes.
Michael : Excellent. Just make yourself comfortable in your chair. That's excellent.
OK, and can you feel the weight of your feet on the floor?
Liam : Yes.
Michael : OK, can you hear the sound of my voice?
Just close your eyes. Be aware of the weight of your eyelids. Imagine a drop of water of leaf, and imagine that drop of water, strong, firm, powerful. And the leaf is that special texture of green that goes really soft, but then again in it's own way is really strong.
And again, be aware of the weight of your feet on the floor. And as you listen to my voice I want you to notice that - I pause occasionally - every time that I pause I want you to take that as an opportunity, to with no effort at all, just to soften. And relax.
And I want you to let yourself go down to that depth of relaxation that's exactly right for you. Not too deep. Not too light. But deep enough that you get real benefits.
Relaxing down deeper. Easily relaxing. Relaxing easily. Glistening inside. Inside glistening. Feeling good. Good feeling.
And as you're sitting in the chair I just want you to feel a time when you felt really creative, and really in touch with those deep feelings. I just want you to easily imagine that connection, and can feel it growing, and you can remember a time when this creativity served you - and it's there for you to use when you connect to it, right away.
Just be aware, just by sitting, just by listening to my voice, make that creativity feel stronger.
And then I want you to remember some time in the future - to imagine some time in the future - where you're able to access that creativity at exactly the right time for you - and you find yourself using this creativity to reach new peaks, new challenges, new things that you are able to achieve with ease. Imagine yourself drifting forward in time - easily connecting with those abilities that you have.
And when you've made those changes inside just begin to come, at exactly the right pace for you, back into the room in such a way that you further develop these skills and open your eyes at that time.
When you are ready - when you are ready - just open your eyes. That's right.
And sort of smile. Remembering that you are going to have a good rest of day, that if you are going anywhere by car you will drive safely and when you leave this room you will feel delightfully ready to have a really,really good day.

Michael : And as I make the comment that sometimes it's good to spend a lot of time getting energetic - energetic is tremendously useful and very good - but equally it's good to just spend some time relaxing, getting in touch with yourself, because it's the combination of both that makes you very powerful.
